Extract Icons From File
Since the tool supports the extraction of icons from EXE, DLL, OCX files, we used the Windows image resource file, i.e., imageres.dll to test this tool. We found that as soon as we dropped the file into the software window, it illustrated us all the icons residing inside the file, as you can see in the screenshot shown above. You can save all the icons or selected icons by toggle the menu given below or using the save button at the top, as shown in the image.
The saving of icons is possible in a variety of formats. The extracted icons can be exported and saved to a file as follows:
All or selected icon to ICO, BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, or EMF filesAll icons as a BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, or EMF file.
You can save the icons at a custom location as well. Following are the features that this tool offers to you:
All of the icons from the selected files may also be extracted and saved to a selected folder in a step or exported to an HTML document (.htm, .html) or dBase 5 file (.dbf)
Saving high color icons (which have more than 16 colors) is possible
Export operations can be performed via the command line
Extracted icons may be printed (all or selected)
The program is optionally portable
